Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. [2][3] The range of her early music was described as "lo hi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". In addition, she has incorporated elements from hip hop electronic, and rock. The songs she sings often speak to the themes of science fiction and feminists. Five studio albums were published by her. Grimes was raised in Vancouver in the early 1990s, before moving to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her songs as a solo artist at the beginning of 2000. two albums came out through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in the year 2010. After joining 4AD her popularity grew with fame thanks to Visions which was her third album on the studio. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" as well as the Canadian industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. After this, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was released in 2015 , and was met with reviews of praise, as several magazines have rated it as the best album of the year.
