Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and then was named in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second-round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with the unanimous verdict. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina took the UFC deal following her win. Antonina received an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
